I SEE YOU. Are you a deep soul who sometimes feels like you don’t fit in? Starseeds and empaths tend to feel rejected, different, or like they don’t belong in their families, jobs, or even on this planet. Oftentimes that’s because our souls literally originate from other star systems. It’s not an easy path, but it’s for a reason. You’re here to BE the change as we move into a new paradigm. This new age belief or spiritual concept of starseeds can be controversial. My personal beliefs have actually shifted in recent years as well. But even if none of us know for sure, we do know that sensitive people experience life and their physical body a bit differently than others. Being your authentic self can be challenging in an insensitive world. This is especially true if you feel a call to help people or guide humanity in some way.
As a starseed, highly sensitive person, or old soul, you have unique attributes and feel more deeply than others, emotionally, spiritually, and/or physically. You may avoid large groups or crowds (or certain people), leave gatherings early due to energetic fatigue or overwhelm, and you may feel alienated from traditional establishments, belief systems, or roles. Starseeds also may feel the emotions of others, or even have psychic abilities. They tend to seek divine wisdom and be interested in esoteric topics like past lifetimes.
Another telltale sign that you may be a starseed or empath is a deep connection to the night sky. Do you feel drawn to astrology or astronomy, or simply have a fascination with the sky or cosmos? Personally, I remember as a very young child gazing longingly up into the sky in my front yard. Ha! Perhaps because that is the true “home,” not here on Earth.
In addition, there is a body of thought around specific starseed origins. The idea is that, on a soul level, starseeds “come from” somewhere other than Earth. Cosmically, they originate from another star system, galaxy, or realm. Thus, they are not as familiar with being in a human body and have unique gifts and challenges. I think many of us relate to this feeling of, how did I get here? You may feel perpetually disoriented, like you don’t belong, and you may have a vague desire to “go back” spiritually.
There are several ways you can discern more about your starseed origin. Be careful if turning to any sort of reader or healer though, as many are sadly not in integrity (or not qualified to give you insights, especially ones so personal). Here are the best two ways to do soul investigation.
This is the top way I advise you to go about it. Sit in meditation and tune in. Ask – your higher self, God, source, whatever you believe in – to elucidate your soul origins. See what comes up, whether it be thoughts, feelings, sensations, psychic information, visuals, or dreams. Keep the “conversation” going; continually check in. Be open to surprises and unexpected impressions. Your soul is part of you, arguably the biggest part. Therefore, go inward and see what’s there. You can supplement this process with research on the different starseed systems and characteristics. Notice what you feel a strong connection to. Examples include Pleiadian, Lyran, and Arcturian.
You can of course also look outward. But I highly suggest you do this as a part two. Always check what anyone says to you against your own intuition. Soul origins are often said to be visible in your natal astrology chart or via the Akashic records (a system thought to depict all records of your soul). Ideally, you get a referral or know a trusted practitioner who can help you. These sessions are often available as a single consultation or as a short series. Another option is learning to analyze your own astrology or Akashic records if that interests you.
Coming back to Earth for a minute! There are locations here that some posit starseeds are drawn to energetically. Here is a list of geographical locations across the globe thought to be significant for starseeds. Have you visited these places or felt a call to any of them?
The journey to self-acceptance as a human can be long and winding, and is usually very tender and vulnerable. It requires a lot of courage. But that is why you’re here. As you begin to wade through your past, your present, your thoughts and beliefs, the TRUTH starts to emerge. Truth — feeling it, facing it, speaking it — is what heals.
The most important thing is not what others think or do, it’s how you feel about yourself inside. That is your point of attraction and will be reflected outwardly in your external life, because “as within, so without” and “as above, so below.” But most importantly, it’s the number one cause of your happiness, not other people, achievements, or circumstances. Of course we enjoy and derive fulfillment from relationships and jobs etc, but when you do the internal work first, you not only don’t feel that desperate, empty need for them anymore, but what you attract is of much higher quality and resonance. You also tend to have fewer health issues and reach a better place emotionally.
